Smoked Snack Mix

College bowl season is just around the corner and this is one of my favorite gameday snacks. This is a twist on the recipe from DivaQ posted over on the Traeger Grills website. You can put your own spin on it by mixing up the ingredients or toppings. I like using bagel chips and adding a few dashes of hot sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 box Cheerios
  • 1 box Life cereal
  • 1 bag pretzel sticks
  • 1 bag bagel chips
  • 1 box goldfish
  • 1 lb salted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup peanut oil
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Hot sauce
  • 2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp Historic Red

Instructions

Mix together the butter, oil, Worcestershire sauce, and a few dashes of hot sauce in a small bowl.

Mix all the snack foods in a disposable aluminum pan. Pour over the mixed liquid products and then season with the garlic salt and Historic Red. Mix well to make sure everything is well coated with the liquid and seasoning.

Place the pan on your smoker or grill at about 250°F and smoke for 2-3 hours.  Every 30 minutes or so shake or stir the mix to make sure everything gets evenly smoked.

Allow to cook and enjoy!

If you are making ahead of time cover the pan with foil and seal well around the edges or transfer to an airtight container.
